Limping Along
I’ve always been able to relate to the cartoon showing three vultures sitting on a tree. One says to the others, "Patience my ass! I’m going to kill something."
And, I’ve often joked (truth is disguised as humour) that my illnesses are God’s way of teaching me patience.
Apparently I’m still in the remedial class.
I had my sonogram. Good news! No deep vein thrombosis. No risk of clots and STROKE!
Pain continued but leg was getting better.
On Friday, I met with a client who is a therapist. She hauled out her guide to complimentary medicine and we took a look at the suggestions for treating sciatica: massage (sounds good to me), pineapple juice, and turmeric. All things that reduce inflammation.
On the way home I stopped at the healh food store and the woman there recommended Zyflamend, a multi herbal remedy.
Wow. Good stuff.
Within a day I was able to stop taking the Tylenol 3 and by now am walking without a limp.
But, patient little bugger that I am, I want to be able to do my daily 5K walk! And, can’t.
So, I’m bitchy.
And, scattered.
Did I say bitchy.
"Patience my son!", says the Universe.
